Handled cargo measurement declaration

The handled cargo measurement declaration is often prepared by the stevedore. It is a document used for the registration of the correct measurements of the goods and as such serves to record the correct load volume.

This is important when the cargo is payable on the basis of volume. The precise volume is often not known before the goods are loaded. Hence this is measured before the goods are loaded on board.
