DWT

DWT is the deadweight tonnage of a vessel is the quantity of cargo, expressed in weight, that the vessel can load when loaded up to the summer freeboard mark. The deadweight tonnage is expressed in tons: long ton (1 long ton = 1,016 kg), metric ton (1 metric ton = 1,000 kg) and sometimes also short ton (1 short ton = 907 kg).
